At Northcliffe, we are committed to following God in every aspect of our lives. We believe that we honor God by being faithful to the calling He has placed on us; in other words, by being disciples. The Discipleship Pathway has been designed to help believers understand their faith and find ways to actively participate in the life of Northcliffe. This journey begins with understanding the core truths of our shared faith, identifying how God has prepared you for His purposes, leading others, and faithfully connecting with the mission of the local church where God has placed you. Our elders will guide you through four key areas as you discover our shared beliefs and understand how God has prepared and positioned you to serve His Kingdom.

The Starting Point - 4 Weeks

Our faith is rooted in the truths revealed in God’s Word. These truths are where our journey as followers of Jesus begins by loving God personally.

What to Expect

  • Learn or refresh your understanding of the Christian faith
  • Introduction to the fundamental beliefs we share
  • Key topics include: God, the gospel, church, God’s mission, baptism, communion, and more

Identifying your Call - 2 Weeks

God has uniquely called, created, and crafted you for a specific purpose within His church and mission. We will explore your calling and how you fit into God’s plan by living life purposefully.

What to Expect

  • Understand how God has designed you to fulfill His purpose
  • Explore your gifts, passions, abilities, personality, and experiences
  • Discover how you can contribute to the life of the church

Leading the Way - 2 Weeks

We grow in our calling by following God and leading others towards Him. This section focuses on deepening your relationship with God and equipping you to guide others through discipleship. Leading the Way is how we’re able to Serve Others Passionately.

What to Expect

  • Learn tools by which we can follow God closer
  • Discover ways to influence those around you to follow Jesus and commit their lives to Him
  • Introduction to opportunities for active participation in the direction of Northcliffe

Living on Mission

After completing the first 3 sections, this is where The Discipleship Pathway is applied by living a life on mission. This is more than just participation; it’s about investing ourselves in leadership for the mission God has given us.

What to Expect

  • Partner with current ministry leaders to serve the mission to which God has given Northcliffe
  • Help others grow for greater gospel impact in our community

Yes, but The Discipleship Pathway helps you understand and connect more deeply with the church and its mission. It’s like trying to use a new device without understanding what the device is designed to do.
