In the opening message of our new series through the book of Hosea, Pastor Jeff explores the powerful truth that God’s love relentlessly pursues us. Through the story of Hosea and Gomer, God provides a vivid picture of His relationship with His people—revealing the seriousness of our unfaithfulness, the real consequences of sin, and the extraordinary faithfulness of a God who refuses to stop pursuing those He loves.

Hosea’s story reminds us that spiritual unfaithfulness is not simply walking away from God completely. It can happen when we begin placing our trust, identity, priorities, or security in something alongside Him. Yet even when we wander, our sin does not cancel God’s faithfulness. Judgment and consequences are real, but they do not have the final word—God’s love does.

Through Hosea, God transforms “not my people” into “my people” and “not loved” into “loved,” pointing ultimately to the salvation offered through Jesus Christ. At the cross, Jesus took what our sin deserved so that we could receive a new identity as children of the living God. No matter our past, failures, or distance from Him, God continues to pursue us and invites us to come home.
